DESCRIPTION

‭ Cold Spring Farmers’ Market‬ ‭ Assistant Manager‬‬ ‭ Job Description‬ ‭We are currently seeking to hire an Assistant Manager. Market managers are valuable members‬ of the CSFM team. As the public face of our market, market managers connect our communities‬ to our farmers. Managers are responsible for executing all on-site aspects of the market during‬ their scheduled shift. For the summer, managers are expected to be there between 7am-2pm‬ and during the winter 8:30am-2pm.‬ ‭The assistant manager reports to the senior manager and to the CSFM Board. The assistant‬ manager is responsible for weekly administrative functions including market prep, record‬ keeping, rent collection, email communications with vendors and the public, sending a weekly‬ ‭newsletter, and maintaining social media accounts.‬. ‭Position Details‬

Hours:

Approximately 30 hours per month; 16 hours onsite at the market per month; 4‬ hours per week off-site for market prep, administrative work, newsletter, and social‬ media engagement‬ ‬‭

Compensation:

$22/hr, minimum pay $750/month‬ ‬‭

At the market, from home, or other locations as necessary‬

Commitment:

we are a growing market and rely on our managers to take pride in‬ executing the market each week. Our markets are a year-round commitment, rain or‬ shine. Markets will only be closed in unsafe conditions. This position is typically best‬ suited for candidates who are local to the area‬‭ Will train upon hire‬ ‭Qualifications A friendly and enthusiastic person with excellent communication skills‬ ‭Strong organizational skills with attention to detail‬ Effective team player able to take direction and work independently‬ Successful community builder with an ability to work with a diverse range of people‬ Experience and comfortability with rules and regulation enforcement‬ Ability to comfortably and safely lift up to 40 lbs as needed for market setup/break down‬ Reliable access to a smartphone, and internet connection‬ Compensation‬
