Assistant Front Manager Green Valley Marketplace/Key Food Supermarket 4215 30th Ave, Astoria, NY 11103 We are a community-focused store located in Queens dedicated to providing high-quality products and excellent customer service. We are currently seeking an assistant manager to join our team and help us continue to provide exceptional shopping experiences for our customers. As an assistant manager, you will play a key role in managing daily store operations, overseeing employees, and ensuring our customers receive the best possible service. We are looking for a highly motivated, organized, and customer-focused individual with previous supermarket retail management experience. Duties This is a key holder position that requires the opening and closing of the store. Supervise and manage store employees, including but not limited to cashiers, front end managers, stock personnel and service counter employees Uphold high standards of customer service and conduct employee evaluations Resolve issues that may arise with customers and/or employees throughout the day Facilitate communication between management and staff, and update staff on changes in policies or procedures. Handle front end scheduling to keep the front end fully staffed Review department scheduling and assist if needed Participate in hiring and training new employees Supervise day to day item pricing and quality control Basic handling of cash for change and other register related functions Skills Interpersonal Skills Excellent Customer Service skills Responsible Good communication skills Bilingual (English/Spanish) Computer Knowledge Attention to detail
