Full-Time Salary:
$65,000 – $70,000 + Performance Bonus + Benefits American Cocktail Bar & Restaurant located in the heart of Long Island City. We have been in business for over 2 years and are currently searching for a General Manager that is able to take on the challenge of bringing the volume of the restaurant up to $3M over the next 12 months. We have a beautiful venue with a majority of the in-house business coming from private events. This is a unique opportunity for a proven leader with a passion for guest experience, a track record of operational excellence, and the drive to take ownership of the restaurant’s culture, performance, and growth.
Position Overview:
As General Manager, you will oversee all front-of-house operations, lead a large and diverse team, and collaborate closely with culinary, beverage, and corporate leadership. You will champion service standards, financial accountability, and staff development—while maintaining the vibrant, welcoming energy that makes Long Island City’s .
Key Responsibilities:
Lead all front-of-house operations in a $1.5M+ revenue environment Uphold elevated yet approachable service standards with a guest-first mindset Hire, train, and manage a high-performing FOH team through coaching, feedback, and clear expectations Maintain excellence in beverage service, including coffee, cocktails, and wine Oversee labor, inventory, COGS, and daily financial reporting to meet profitability goals Ensure compliance with NYC Department of Health, labor laws, and safety protocols Collaborate cross-functionally with BOH, bar, marketing, and corporate teams Drive recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, and ongoing employee development Cultivate a team culture that is professional, accountable, and service-driven
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum 6 years of hospitality experience, with at least 3 years in a GM or senior FOH leadership role in a high-volume setting Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills Deep understanding of restaurant financials: P&L, labor models, budgeting, COGS Working knowledge of
TOAST POS
systems, Microsoft Office, and restaurant technology platforms Completion of GM training program and food safety/alcohol service certifications (or willingness to obtain) Associate degree in Hospitality, Business, or equivalent experience preferred Highly organized, proactive, and calm under pressure
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing repetitive motions Comfortable working around hot kitchen elements and cleaning chemicals Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Base Salary:
$65,000 – $70,000 (commensurate with experience)
