Chef manager Deli Mastic, NY 11950 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chef manager . It’s at a deli/catering company. The upside will be great hours for someone who usually works night we are looking for a morning schedule 630-230ish . Hours are flexiable with individuals schedule. but primarily looks for either Wednesday-Sunday or Friday-Sunday . I can do full or part time . the individual will be responsible for maintaing the salad case and preparing variety of hot catering trays . the basics mostly . But can get very busy. Look foward to speaking in detail about what we do . Duties Manage all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation. preparing hot food from our menus. kitchen organization . Oversee inventory management, ensuring that all supplies are adequately stocked and maintained. Coordinate catering services for events, ensuring timely delivery and presentation of food. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations. Monitor food costs and waste to optimize profitability while maintaining quality standards. Experience Proven experience in kitchen management or a similar role within the culinary field. Strong background in menu planning and food preparation techniques. Experience supervising staff in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with inventory management systems and best practices. Knowledge of catering operations is a plus. Bartending experience is beneficial but not required. A passion for food management and creating memorable dining experiences is essential.
