General Manager 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars 1100 Danby Road- Route 96b, Ithaca, NY 14850 Whether you’re here for family fun or a campus tour, the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Ithaca, NY offers you a prime location off State Route 96B. You’ll be within 15 minutes of shopping at Ithaca Commons, hiking in Buttermilk Falls State Park, and events at Cornell University or Ithaca College. For outdoor activities, head to Cayuga Lake to kayak or explore the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail. This position offers a salary of $60,000 to $65,000 per year. Our busy hotel requires a creative thinker who can introduce new ideas to increase revenue and establish customer relationships to encourage repeat business. You will not only lead our team, but you will also need to provide the best service to our guests. Day-to-day duties will involve hiring new employees, training them, managing all hotel departments, and guaranteeing outstanding guest satisfaction. Our ideal candidate has 3 or more years of experience leading a hotel or hospitality team and is dedicated to providing our customers with a 5-star experience. if you’re ready for a new challenge! Responsibilities Inspire your staff through leadership, vision, and operational strategies that drive financial success by providing exceptional guest service Devise the cleanliness and upkeep of the hotel’s rooms, public areas, and grounds in order to cultivate a reputation for quality Generate a budget that ensures guest satisfaction and quality of services while also keeping costs balanced and profit margins maximized Guide the leaders of each hotel department in developing goals, objectives, and a plan of action for achieving them Construct and manage a straightforward and effective marketing strategy to promote the hotel’s services and amenities Qualifications Prior GM experience Must have a strong focus on putting the guest first with exceptional customer service experience You must have 5 or more years of experience working in the hospitality field Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and problem-solving skills A proven record of experience managing a team, preferably in the hospitality field, is required High school diploma or equivalent GED; degree in hospitality or related field of study preferred At GF we believe that people are the key to our success.
