Job Summary:

FLACRA is seeking a hands-on, motivatedManager of Food Serviceto lead kitchen operations across our residential programs. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing food services at multiple locations, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring nutritious, well-balanced meals are provided daily to program participants. If you’re passionate about food, organization, and making a difference in the lives of others, this is an opportunity to lead with purpose. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of food safety and compliance, and the ability to adapt to changing program needs across Maxwell Hall, Otte Hall, and Cadence Square. This is a dynamic, people-focused role for someone who thrives on maintaining a clean, efficient kitchen environment while creating meals that support wellness and recovery. Our food service operations play a vital role in recovery and wellness for our residential clients. We believe that nourishing food and a supportive mealtime environment are essential components of healing.

Must-Have Qualifications & Skills:

+ High School Diploma or GED equivalent + At least 3 years of food service experience (supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred) + Working knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures + Valid NYS Driver’s License + Excellent time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills + Ability to multi-task and remain calm in high-demand or crisis situations

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

+ Previous experience in a residential or healthcare food service environment + Experience working with Foodlink, OASAS regulations, or Department of Health compliance + Familiarity with accommodating special dietary needs + Food Safety Certification +

Key Responsibilities:

+ Oversee kitchen and dining operations across Maxwell Hall, Otte Hall, and Cadence residential programs + Order, receive, and inventory food and kitchen supplies to ensure timely and efficient meal prep + Develop and maintain rotating menus that meet nutritional standards and resident preferences + Ensure all meals are prepared and served in accordance with health and safety regulations + Supervise and train food service staff and residents completing community service assignments + Maintain compliance with all health department, Foodlink, and OASAS standards + Coordinate with residential and wellness staff to support special events and dietary accommodations + Provide clear guidance to kitchen staff and volunteers on food prep, sanitation, and safety protocols + Build and maintain positive relationships with regulatory bodies and community partners + Participate in agency meetings, in-service trainings, and team collaborations + Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor
