We are looking for someone who is motivated, innovative, and well rounded! As a small business, the general manager will be a person who can fill multiple roles, if needed, including any of our back of house as well as front of house positions as needed. The manager at The Loft 412’s main goal is to continue moving our company towards better standards of business, customer service, and ultimately- improving our sales strategies. They must ensure that procedures are followed for selling products and serving guests. The Manager makes sure that all staff act in a way that promotes guest satisfaction and handles any issues or complaints. The manager implements training for employees. Additionally, the manager assists with the cafe’s cost controls by helping develop systems to manage product waste, inventory, labor costs, and breakage. They must also oversee facility upkeep, ensuring that the areas are clean and meet standards. The manager arranges repairs and facilities maintenance as needed and completes payroll and schedules weekly. Responsibilities Enforce sanitary practices for hookah handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of hookah prep and lounging areas Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances. Responsible for ensuring consistent high quality of hookah preparation and service Oversee inventory and manage costs, provision and purchasing Manage total guest experience, ensuring optimal care and service Maintain proper safety/security procedures to ensure welfare of employees, guests and company assets; reducing the risk of accidents and injuries Investigate and resolve complaints concerning quality and service Provide direction to employees regarding operational and procedural matters Manage recruitment process for hourly employees Develop employees by establishing performance expectations, providing ongoing feedback, and by conducting annual performance reviews Maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan of staffing needs. Provide strong presence in local community, aiding in a high level of community involvement by cafe and personnel Maintain a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate, which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity and efficiency/effectiveness Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction by being knowledgeable on all tobacco products offered.
