Floating Food Service General Manager 2.5 2.5 out of 5 stars 201 West Main Street, Shiremanstown, PA 17011 We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Floating Food Service General Manager to oversee the daily food service operations at three private school locations . This role requires a hands-on leader who can ensure high standards of food quality, customer service, and team management while adapting to the needs of each individual school site. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple units with a consistent focus on excellence and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations at all assigned school sites, ensuring smooth service and compliance with company and regulatory standards. Direct oversight of on-site catering, special events and functions- including evenings and weekends as needed Manage and lead on-site staff , including hiring, scheduling, training, and performance management. Coordinate daily production and meal service , ensuring food safety, quality, and presentation meet client expectations. Manage ordering, receiving, inventory, and cost controls for all locations. Ensure accurate and timely menu execution , including participation in menu planning and promotional sales initiatives. Build and maintain positive client relationships , serving as the primary point of contact for client needs, concerns, and feedback. Maintain cleanliness and operational compliance with local health codes and company food safety protocols. Monitor sales, participation trends, and financial performance ; recommend and implement action plans for improvement. Travel regularly between assigned sites to provide operational oversight and team support. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in food service management, preferably in K-12 or private school settings. Proven ability to manage multiple units or locations. Strong leadership and communication skills. Experience with food ordering platforms, menu management, and labor control. ServSafe Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire). Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Skills and Competencies Strong multitasking and time management abilities. Customer-focused mindset with commitment to service excellence. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS/inventory systems. Ability to foster teamwork across varied work environments. Flexible and adaptable to meet changing client and site needs. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs. Ability to travel between sites regularly (within a defined geographic area).
