Nestled in the heart of historic Charleston, this charming bed and breakfast is searching for a hands-on, service-driven Assistant Manager to join our Homegrown Hospitality Group family. This role offers a rare opportunity to blend hospitality leadership with culinary creativity. From preparing a memorable breakfast each morning to guiding guests through their stay, you’ll help shape the day-to-day experience of visitors from around the world. What You’ll Do Hospitality & Guest Experience Welcome and check in guests with warmth and professionalism Manage reservations and guest communications across platforms Act as a knowledgeable concierge—offering suggestions, solving issues, and ensuring every stay is personal and seamless Partner with the General Manager to maintain a well-kept, inviting space throughout the property Breakfast & Culinary Leadership Plan and serve a full-service, Southern-inspired breakfast with consistency and flair Maintain high standards in kitchen cleanliness and food safety (ServSafe preferred) Refresh breakfast menus seasonally and respond to guest dietary needs Manage breakfast inventory and participate in weekly grocery runs Team Support & Inn Operations Help lead and support front desk, housekeeping, and kitchen staff Contribute to new employee onboarding and training Coordinate light property maintenance and vendor visits Support administrative tasks, billing, and recordkeeping What We’re Looking For Prior hospitality experience—especially in boutique hotels, B&Bs, or restaurants Strong kitchen skills and a love for breakfast service Confidence juggling priorities and communicating clearly A flexible, proactive spirit—weekend and early morning availability required Bonus if you love historic spaces and storytelling What You’ll Gain A tight-knit team that cares about the work and each other Growth potential in a reputable, locally rooted hospitality group Competitive pay and exclusive dining discounts at HHG restaurants The chance to work where history meets hospitality—in the heart of Charleston If you’re ready to bring energy, creativity, and a service-first mindset to one of the city’s most iconic inns, we’d love to meet you.
