Canteen Manager Position Available In Berkeley, South Carolina

Canteen Manager VFW Post 10256 104 Stephanie Drive, Goose Creek, SC 29445 ## Job Summary The Canteen Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Post canteen. In this role, you will be responsible to the House Committee for managing inventory, training staff, developing canteen procedures, creating & maintaining schedules, coordinating events, ensuring patrons receive the quality service as well as leading by example. This position also requires that the Canteen Manager be bondable as well as reachable by phone and/or text during business hours. ## Responsibilities

• Manage and lead canteen staff in daily operations as well as take a shift if required
• Continuously evaluate and improve the canteen menu items, and events
• Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
• Ensure compliance with health & safety as well as alcohol regulations
• Manage vendor relationships, coordinate deliveries & payments
• Develop and implement canteen policies and procedures ## Qualifications
• Minimum education
• High school diploma or GED
• Familiar with using Point of Sale (PoS) systems & reporting tools
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coach staff
• Prior experience working in bar and/or restaurant
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• South Carolina TIPS Alcohol server & food handling certification is a plus
