Job Description
Service Manager – The Select The Select Charleston Charleston, SC 29403 Coastal continental cuisine in an upscale casual dining concept with guest-focused service. We are currently looking for a talented, hardworking Service Manager to join our team. Our company is growing and we are looking for people who can add to our team with creativity, passion, and desire to be a part of the success.
Areas of primary responsibilities:
1. Work with the General Manager to cultivate a welcoming team who provide memorable service through excellence, timeliness and connection with out guests. 2. Manage and train the staff to attain the operational accuracy and consistency 3. Manage scheduling and labor costs, smallwares, expenses, and event sales within budgeted expectations 4. Maintain a service program capable of executing quality, memorable and timely meals to guests. 5. Report directly to the General Manager 6. Develop robust systems for hiring, training and continuing education to ensure continued excellence 7. Maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules to operate under the guidelines of DHEC for SC 8. Collaborate in every aspect of creativity for all Brand concepts 9. Train, guide, and support the Event program to ensure diligence on booking private events. 10. Build a positive culture based on relationships built on open communication and building Trust 11. Empower Managers and Employees to grow as they contribute 12. Collaborate with our team in and outside of the restaurant to help us build a creative, next-generation hospitality company.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Front of House Manager or similar role in a restaurant or catering establishment of high volume with sales exceeding $4M/yr 2. Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team 3. Extensive knowledge of service protocols, and the energy and enthusiasm to drive the staff 4. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment 5. Solid understanding of restaurant financials, including tipping practices and cost management. Experience and knowlege using Restaurant 365 and Toast (POS & Payroll) is a bonus 6. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, expected work week is 50-55 hours We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
