Assistant Manager Sushi Yama Travelers Rest Travelers Rest, SC 29690 Hello! Thank you for your interest in this position! We are a family owned restaurant in the heart of Travelers Rest! This is our 10th year here and business has been ramping up. With that being said, we’re looking to add someone to our management team that can help us out with some things! With that being said, we’re looking for someone positive, ambitious, and hard working who has at least 2 years of experience as a server. This is important because those three traits will help push you through the tough times of working in a busy Restaurant! The 2 years of server experience will help with the duty of Interviewing, Hiring, and Training servers, hosts, bussers, and server assist! Hopefully if things go well, you could also train your replacement as you move up in our company! Basic Responsibilities include, but not restricted to (we all do more than our listed responsibilities sometimes): Dining room set up Taking care of customer needs Responding to customer reviews Assisting Servers Interviewing, Hiring, Training FOH Team Members Server Schedule Inventory (Wine, Beer, Napkins etc.) This is a small restaurant, so a majority of our Team Members are cross trained to assist in different departments. We will need you to learn how our system works for a period of time so that you may function independently. We will start you off at $16/hour until you clear our training period, which is about 2 weeks to a month depending on how quickly you pick things up. From that point, you will automatically be bumped up to $18/hour with opportunities for a raise every year after a review. The work week is Wednesday-Sunday with the occasional Tuesday because of our Tuna Cuttings or if certain deliveries of goods come in that day. You will only be required to work 4 full days, but you will have the opportunity for overtime with approval. All boring things aside, we’re a good team to work with. We all do what we need to get the job done. Times do get tough, but as long as you stay positive and work hard, the tough times will get easier. We all help each other get through.
