Weekend House Manager Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Carolinas 706 Grove Road, Greenville, SC 29605 We are seeking a part-time Weekend House Manager for our 6:30am – 7:00pm Saturday and Sunday shift . This position will oversee all aspects of guest intake and outtake and manage all the needs of the House. This position is responsible for making an excellent first impression on behalf of the RMHCC to all guests, visitors and volunteers. The candidate must be highly organized and able to multi-task with minimum direction. This position is responsible for interacting in with the House guests with a friendly, easy-going, friendly and approachable manner while maintaining the ability to deal with conflict resolution. Seeking a candidate who can lead with a servant heart, who is self-sufficient, confident, and takes responsibility and safety seriously. This position requires the candidate to think quickly and make decisions while being preceptive and disciplined. Candidate needs to possess a customer-oriented approach to dealing with families of children with a variety of medical issues. Our goal is to make guests and visitors feel comfortable and valued while in our Home. This facility operates 24/7/365 days a year with an House Manager on site at all times. Flexibility is important in this role to fill in for vacations, sick time, family leave, etc. for others on the team. This role is 100% responsible for coverage of all Operations of the House during their shift. This role must provide a safe, clean, comfortable environment for families by communicating with the guests in a confident and friendly manner, encouraging a sense of community and providing a restful atmosphere. Position must remain on premise during entire shift. This position will ensure a smooth functioning household and provide support to residents. Essential Functions The following responsibilities are intended as a guide; additional tasks can be added based upon the needs of the House. Guest Services Check-in/out guests Provide Guest orientation to new families which include House tour Always greet and welcome guests Answer questions and address complaints Answer all incoming calls, redirect or take a message Receive all mail and packages Monitor house supplies and report if low and need to reorder Keep updated records and files. Willingness to help other departments as necessary. Remain accessible to guests throughout your shift Always answer incoming calls Report matters of concern in a timely manner to the Director of Operations Responsible for making sure the evening meal is laid out Facilities Handle all emergency situations, including, but not limited to, guests locked out of the House or Room, fire alarm, water leaks, etc. Duties associated with Opening & Closing of the House Make coffee, and keep it fresh throughout the day Turn on lights and stereos each morning Able to troubleshoot basic maintenance issues Implementation of Emergency Procedures as needed Report damage and/or repairs needed to the Director of Operations Evening walk-throughs and security checks Ensure the property is well-maintained and address any maintenance issues promptly Housekeeping Kitchen should be checked for clean tables, chairs, counter tops at 9a, 1p, 4p, 8p, 11p Check common areas and straighten as needed Mop both kitchens and public restrooms as needed Take out trash in both kitchens and restrooms 9a, 12p, 4p, 8p, 11p, as needed Restock restrooms Light Laundry, if needed Load/Empty Dishwasher, as needed Purge refrigerators Replenish snacks Store donations Maintain inventory of household supplies and groceries

Additional Services:

Light administrative work Submit daily notes of services performed Run through GRHMIS for rooms that need to be cleaned, those checking in, and web referrals Work with volunteers on your shift as needed – Guest Chef, Cookie Makes, etc. Make sure all rooms have an age-appropriate gift and card displayed on the bed for the inbound patient and siblings Communicate with Director of Operations and CEO as needed regarding meetings, calls, etc.). Develop a working knowledge of RMHC policies and procedures Become expert on our reservation system. Interact with and show appreciation to our volunteers/interns. Oversee household cash Ensure the property is well-maintained and address any maintenance issues promptly Assist guests with transportation for appointments and schedules Provide support to residents as required Return all Guest files to File Room Other tasks as requested Skills Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or equivalent Crisis intervention skills Data entry abilities Strong organizational skills Knowledge of social work principles a plus Conflict management expertise Dependable Emotionally Intelligent Medical background a plus Hospitality management: 5 years preferred
