POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Store Manager is an entry-level management position responsible for day-to-day supervision of non-management associates, assigning specified work, focusing on restaurant level operation performance, coaching and developing subordinate team members and other non-management associates and performing all other responsibilities as directed by their manager. This position provides an opportunity for entry-level managers to learn important management skills and practice judgment and discretion skills. This is a non-exempt position and typically reports to the General Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Completes and posts staff work schedules. Communicates changes of food preparation formulas, standards, etc. to staff Ensures that all local and national health and food safety codes are maintained, and company safety and security policy are followed. Maintains business records as outlined in the Subway®
Operations Manual:
Daily Procedures. Analyzes business records to increase sales. Supports local and national marketing initiatives. Identifies and contacts prospective customers to promote sales. Plans special events and promotions. Completes University of Subway® courses as directed.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent A minimum of two (2) years in a restaurant environment, experience in supervising and training staff Ability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Teams, Excel and Outlook Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. Must be able to work any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register (cashier). Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
