Gentell is seeking a highly organized and motivated Assistant Pick & Pack Manager to support our warehouse operations. Reporting to the Distribution Manager, the Assistant Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate picking, packing, and shipping of customer orders. Responsibilities:
Assist the Pick & Pack Manager in overseeing all daily pick and pack operations. Supervise and motivate a team of pickers and packers, ensuring adherence to safety procedures and performance targets. Monitor and optimize pick paths and packing processes to maximize efficiency and accuracy. Ensure the accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to picking, packing, or order discrepancies. Assist in the training and onboarding of new team members. Maintain accurate records of completed orders and any discrepancies. Collaborate with other departments, such as inventory and shipping, to ensure smooth workflow. Implement and enforce quality control measures to minimize errors and damages. Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements. Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed. Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and safe. Perform other duties as assigned by the Pick & Pack Manager.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is an asset. Minimum 5 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution environment, with some experience in a lead or supervisory role preferred. Strong understanding of pick and pack processes and best practices. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team. Ability to problem-solve and make decisions in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in basic computer skills and warehouse management systems (WMS) is an asset. Ability to lift and move objects and stand for extended periods. Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in a warehouse setting.
