April 16, 2025 POSITION SUMMARY The Food & Beverage Manager at Hillwood Country Club is responsible for leading the daily front-of-house operations across all a la carte dining venues, ensuring that every member and guest enjoys a memorable, high-quality dining experience. This is a highly visible position and plays a key role in service training, member engagement, team leadership, and operational execution while demonstrating the highest level of hospitality. The Food & Beverage Manager will act as Manager on Duty (MOD) for lunch, dinner, and member-related dining events, and is expected to uphold the Club’s service standards and cultural values in all daily operations. The Food & Beverage Manager works closely with the Food & Beverage Director to ensure that Hillwood Country Club members are provided top-tier service and dining experiences.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee readiness and cleanliness of all dining areas before each service period. Monitor and enforce Club service standards, policies, and safety procedures. Coordinate with BOH and FOH staff for smooth service execution and communication. Supervise and execute all service staff opening/closing responsibilities. Maintain proper inventory levels of menus, silverware, china, and dining room supplies. Ensure team adherence to dress code and uniform standards. Drive member satisfaction through positive interactions, prompt issue resolution, and high service levels. Lead daily pre-shift meetings and training sessions. Assist in onboarding, training, and mentoring new service team members. Maintain and enforce responsible alcohol service and compliance certifications. Monitor reservations and assist in seating plans for optimal flow and experience. Maintain dining area safety, cleanliness, and organization. Assist with oversight of beverage program operations including liquor, beer, wine inventory, and controls. Maintain relationships with wine and spirit vendors; review and recommend beverage selections. Support the planning and execution of beverage-related events such as wine dinners and tastings. Assist in pricing strategy and costing of beverage offerings to meet budget goals in accordance with Food & Beverage Director. Ensure compliance with local and state alcohol regulations, including training and certifications. Partner with Food & Beverage Director or lead monthly beverage inventory and cost tracking. Assist in table clearing, resetting, and floor service as needed during peak periods. Support special event setup, service, and breakdown as assigned. Execute and document incident reports, as required. Perform other duties as directed by Management Adheres to all policies and procedures, memos, and oral instructions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

(KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND

ABILITIES

) Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year degree college or university; or one or two years related. experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience required in fine dining or upscale. restaurant. Country Club experience is preferred. Professional, articulate, friendly, and punctual. Possess and exhibits the drive to provide exceptional Member service. Full-time, flexible hours are required (must be able to work days, nights, weekends, holidays). Food safety certification. Alcoholic beverage certification.
