Overview:

General ManagerCommunity Choice Financial

  • As a results-driven General Manager, you will oversee thesuccess of your store and team by setting the bar high forperformance and customer service.

You will provide ongoing coachingand training to your team to reach Company objectives, increaserevenue, and further develop their skills while demonstrating yourleadership. Reporting to the District Director of Operations, youwill oversee marketing efforts for your location, champion storesecurity and loss prevention, help enforce adherence to qualitystandards, and review all transactions to create an environmentthat fosters growth and innovation.•

Responsibilities:

Coach,lead, and develop all store employees to obtain new business andincrease store growth by demonstrating knowledge of and training onsystems, Company standards, account management, recovery(collections), job duties, and performance reports.

Lead the chargeand set the example for all store employees to identify localmarketing strategies, use business-to-business partnershipopportunities, obtain referrals, host and participate in communityand in-store events to steer growth and build revenue.

Enforceadherence to quality standards, procedures, and local and statelaws and regulations. Audit loan/pawn agreements and transactionsto ensure staff accordance with procedures and practices.

Participate in audits and compliance reviews as directed by thecorporate office or District Manager.

Supervise and maintain officesecurity including cash management and loss prevention by verifyingand documenting cash overages/shortages, vault, inventory,deposits, and expenses. Conduct proper opening and closingprocedures.

Examine, evaluate, and process loan/pawn applicationsand all relevant transactions, and assess risk within establishedlimits.

Participate in the selection, review, hiring, and retentionof new employees.

Develop work schedules in accordance with budget,workloads, and store needs. Ensure store is staffed for optimalperformance.

Handle complex customer situations that arise withintegrity and professionalism.

Monitor and maintain internal andexternal store appearance and address basic facilities needs,including scheduling maintenance services. This includes overseeingstore planogram and ensuring seasonal and/or promotional marketingmaterial are displayed properly.

Work efficiently in a rapidlychanging and fast-paced environment and handle multiple challengingtasks with ease to meet individual and team performancestandards.

Utilize strong interpersonal skills to communicate andinteract with customers and Team Members at all levels.

Ability tomaintain a full-time work schedule with regular in-personattendance, including some weekend hours, is required for thisposition. A full-time work schedule for this position includes, ata minimum, 40-hours per week

    Qualifications:

    High School Diploma or equivalent required Minimum two years of experience and proven success in asupervisory or leadership role in retail, financial, service, orrelated industries Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work phone, Point of Sale, Microsoft Office, andother systems Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and personal vehicle touse throughout the workday (mileage compensated) Must be at least 18 years of age (19 in Alabama) Background check required (subject to applicable law) Ability to meet the physical demands of this position, whichfrequently include: the ability to remain in a stationary position,including standing up to 90% of the time, the ability to move andtransport up to 25 pounds, the ability to move about inside andoutside of the store, and the operation of mechanical controls,such as a keyboard.

    Preferred Qualifications and Skills Associate degree or higher Experience in check cashing, document verification, money orderprocessing Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus and may be required forcertain locations
