Job Description

Yacht Club Assistant Manager Kahite Pub 100 Sequoyah Rd 3361, Loudon, TN 37774 We are seeking an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team. The ideal Assistant Manager candidate will have proven hospitality management experience as well as event management/banquet experience. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for managing daily operations of The Yacht Club restaurant, including the selection, training, and management of all FOH employees. Additionally, the Assistant Manager oversees inventory and ordering of food and supplies, optimizing profits, and ensuring that all guests are satisfied.

Requirements and Responsibilities:
  • The Assistant Manager assists the General Manager in the overall operations of the restaurant.
  • Recruits and trains restaurant employees
  • Assists with inventory control and budgeting
  • Ensures that regulatory guidelines of the food services industry are being followed by all employees
  • Creating and managing staff schedules, assigning tasks, and managing time-off requests
  • Assisting with hiring and onboarding new employees
  • Handling customer inquiries, complaints, and ensuring a positive dining experience
  • Opening and closing the restaurant, as scheduled
  • Ordering supplies, managing inventory, and tracking expenses
  • Preparing payroll reports accurately and on time
  • Tracking sales, costs, and losses, and preparing financial reports
  • Communicating between front-and back-of-house staff and coordinating with vendors
  • Addressing operational issues and finding solutions
  • Assisting with marketing efforts: Supporting promotional activities and initiatives
  • Contributes to the development of new processes and procedures
  • Thorough knowledge of point of sale systems
  • First line of contact for our event and wedding business stream, including management of lead pipeline, venue tours and event follow-ups
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 3+ years restaurant management experience
