Full Job Description Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager (AGM) with a strong focus on bar and beverage operations to join our leadership team at an upscale restaurant in Memphis, TN . The ideal candidate has a proven background in high-end hospitality and is passionate about delivering elevated guest experiences, driving beverage sales, and supporting the General Manager in all facets of front-of-house operations.
What You’ll Do:
Oversee daily front-of-house operations, with a key focus on bar program management and guest engagement Lead and inspire a high-performing FOH and bar team in a refined, fast-paced environment Curate and manage bar inventory, cocktail development, and beverage costing Collaborate with the GM and culinary leadership to drive service standards and operational excellence Maintain exceptional service quality across the dining room and bar areas Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor laws Handle guest relations with poise, professionalism, and problem-solving finesse Assist with staff scheduling, hiring, onboarding, and training Participate in budgeting, labor control, and P&L oversight Foster a team culture that reflects the hospitality and values of the brand
What We’re Looking For:
3+ years of experience in upscale dining environments, ideally as an AGM, Bar Manager, or FOH Manager Strong bar and beverage knowledge, including spirits, wine, mixology, and inventory systems Proven ability to lead by example and uphold luxury service standards Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and team development skills Experience with POS and scheduling systems; knowledge of Toast or similar platforms is a plus Financial acumen in managing labor, beverage cost, and P&L contribution Ability to thrive in a high-volume, guest-focused setting Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
