This role is hands-on and requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a commitment to excellent service. You’ll be responsible for coordinating staff, maintaining timelines, and making sure guests receive an exceptional experience. Duties Supervise banquet events from setup through service to breakdown Lead and support banquet staff during shifts, ensuring high service standards Sometimes server and bartend at events. Communicate with the kitchen and bar to ensure smooth service flow Check room setups against BEOs (Banquet Event Orders) and adjust as needed Handle guest concerns and resolve issues quickly and professionally Ensure compliance with food safety, alcohol laws, and sanitation procedures Train new staff and provide in-the-moment coaching Maintain banquet storage areas and ensure equipment is properly cared for Report shift summaries and issues to senior management after events Experience Experience in banquet or event operations preferred Strong communication and team leadership skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills Familiarity with reading and executing Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) Food Handler’s and Alcohol Server Certification (required or willing to obtain) Flexible availability – must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Join our team as a Banquet Manager where your expertise will contribute to creating unforgettable experiences for our guests!
