Job Overview The Food Service Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of food service within our establishment. This role requires a dynamic leader who can manage kitchen staff, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintain high standards of food quality and service. The Food Service Director will play a crucial role in budgeting, menu planning, and enhancing the overall dining experience for our guests. Duties Supervise all aspects of food service operations, including kitchen management and dining area oversight. Develop and manage budgets to ensure profitability while maintaining quality standards. Oversee food handling procedures to guarantee compliance with health regulations and safety standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus that meet customer preferences and dietary restrictions. Implement effective inventory management practices to minimize waste and control costs. Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff to enhance performance and promote teamwork. Manage point-of-sale (POS) systems for efficient order processing and customer service. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas at all times. Foster a positive dining experience by addressing customer feedback promptly and effectively. Skills Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development and motivation. Proficient in budgeting and financial management within a food service context. Knowledgeable in food handling practices, safety regulations, and sanitation standards. Experience in food management, including menu planning and inventory control. Familiarity with ordering systems for streamlined operations in a fast-paced environment. Background in various food service settings such as hotels or quick-service fast food restaurants is preferred. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with staff, customers, and vendors. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in food preparation and service.
