Kitchen Lead The Carriage Wine & Market Dauphin Island, AL 36528 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Kitchen Lead/Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Kitchen Lead, you will play a vital role in leading the kitchen staff in day to day food production and service to ensure our guests are well taken care of, while ensuring a clean and efficient kitchen environment. Duties Work with the kitchen staff to ensure proper preparation of a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to food safety standards at all times. Handle food items safely, ensuring proper storage and handling procedures are followed. Collaborate the kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service and efficient kitchen operations. Monitor inventory levels of food and other products and help the Executive Chef take a monthly inventory. Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Skills Knowledge of food handling practices and safety(ServSafe Certification). Organization.
