The Maintenance Team Leader is responsible formanaging and supervising the maintenance team at the metro foodproduction facility.

Experience with commercial kitchen repairs in afood production environment is required. Lead the daily operationsof the maintenance team, including assigning tasks, providingguidance, completing maintenance logs and any other documentationrequired as part of food safety and equipment safety, and ensuringall targets are met and safety protocols are followed. Lead andensure that a US Department of Agriculture (USDA) manufacturingfacility maintenance team operates safely and complies withregulatory and corporate safety and environmental program standardsand goals. Diagnose equipment malfunctions and determineappropriate repair strategies. Develop and implement preventivemaintenance schedules for all equipment. Ensure checklists arefollowed, including inspection of drives, motors and belts, fluidlevels, filter replacements, and other maintenance functions.

Assist in preparing and managing maintenance budgets, includingcost estimates for repairs and replacements. Adherence to allsafety policies for equipment when maintaining or cleaning,including Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO). Manage inventory of maintenancesupplies, spare parts, and tools. Communicate and maintain buildingsafety and security standards and follow all Good ManufacturingPractices (GMP) guidelines. Interview, select, train, develop,counsel, and manage performance for Team Members in a way thatbuilds and sustains a high-performing and engaged team. Incollaboration with subject matter experts, maintain comprehensiveknowledge of, and ensure compliance with, relevant regulatory rulesand standards, including Occupational Safety and HealthAdministration (OSHA), USDA, State Department of Agriculture,Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), Food Safety andModernization Act (FSMA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA),Department of Labor, Health and Sanitation regulations, Food andDrug Administration (FDA), and Weights and Measures. 2 years ofexperience in maintenance within a food manufacturing environmentand 12 months of maintenance supervisory experience in the foodmanufacturing industry. ~ OSHA safety certification or otherrelevant safety training. ~ Ability to plan, execute, and overseemaintenance projects from start to finish, ensuring they arecompleted on time and within budget. ~ In-depth knowledge ofmechanical, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, andhydraulic systems commonly used in food manufacturing. ~ Strongability to read, analyze and interpret repair manuals, partscatalogs, blueprints, technical procedures, safety rules,operation/maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. ~Experience in managing relationships with external contractors,service providers, and equipment manufacturers. ~ Familiarity withComputerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and othermaintenance-related software for scheduling, tracking, andreporting. ~ Intermediate computer skills; proficiency in selectMicrosoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); andability to learn custom applications. ~ Basic understanding ofEnterprise Resource Planning (ERP) processes within a foodmanufacturing environment. ~ Ability to work well with others,self-motivated, and capable of working independently with littlesupervision. ~ Ability to work a flexible schedule based on theneeds of the facility, including nights, weekends and holidays asrequired. ~ Ability to build strong partnerships with keystakeholders, including Team Members, customers suppliers, andregulators. ~ A genuine passion for food and a deep commitment toour purpose to nurture people and the planet. Must adhere tocompany dress code, standards of production kitchen dress, andpersonal protective equipment (PPE). Use common hand and powertools such as screwdrivers, saws, drills, wrenches, and hammers, aswell as specialized equipment and electronic testing devices.
