Position Title:
Dining Services Supervisor Overview:
The primary purpose of this position is to create an enjoyable dining experience for the residents, staff, and visitors in the dining areas in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. Food shall be prepared and served in compliance with The Village’s established policies and procedures to assure that quality service is provided at all times. This position reports to the Dining Services Manager.
Essential Job Functions:
Ensures a positive and enjoyable dining experience and carefully follows established procedures for merchandising, plate presentation, and service Provides quality customer service in all interactions with residents, guests and staff Supervises staff and oversees culinary and floor operation of breakfast, lunch and dinner service Oversees service in main dining room and ensures proper opening time of main dining room Attends meetings, as asked, to represent the Dining Services Department Assists in training all dining service staff Assists in menu printing and distribution Evaluates and ensures food quality Responsible for assisting in providing a safe and sanitary working environment Promotes clean, safe and neat environment for residents, self, and staff; adheres to all safety and sanitation requirements Communicates any relevant issues, problems, or complaints to Dining Services Assistant Manager, Manager or Director Adheres to company policies and procedures Attends departmental education and all required in-service training/education Maintains confidentiality of resident/family and facility information Responds to all fire alarms and assist in the evacuation of residents when needed Cooperates with staff of other departments when needed Represents the organization through professional demeanor and attitude Assists in formulation of PDN’s, for Dining Services Manager approval Performs other duties as required
You Have:
High School education or equivalent preferred Prior server training and /or supervisory experience is helpful, but not required CPR and First Aide certification or eligible
