Job Description:

As a Shift Leader at Hurricane Express Car Wash, you will be responsible for assisting customers at the pay stations, selling car wash memberships, assisting your team, delegating and performing various tasks, prepping vehicles, and more. You are the manager on duty when working with Wash Attendants if the Assistant Manager or Site Manager is not on duty. You will be a key holder and will be responsible for an opening or closing shift. Basic math skills are required, a valid Driver’s License is required for this position. You will operate a register and must be able to count money. Being “handy” is a plus, but not required. Daily tasks include, but are not limited to: Perform Opening/Closing procedures to prepare the car wash site for the day or end of the day will be required. Cleaning and maintaining an organized facility to keep a safe working environment Guiding customer vehicles on the conveyor. Prep vehicles by using prewash equipment, applying bug prep to vehicles, etc. Emptying trash periodically during a shift as needed. Cleaning tunnel equipment used in wash including but not limited to windows, walls, floors, wash pit, conveyor track, cleaning out pit, etc. Delegating tasks to attendants as needed. Use of cleaning equipment such as equipment l cleaners, pressure washers, sponges, brushes, etc. Educating customers on wash plans and selling memberships. Count down the register and make deposits as needed Clean out vacuums and clean any trash/debris from the parking area. Keep inventory of cleaning supplies needed for day-to-day wash activities. Keep the wash area clean and organized at all times by periodically walking the site to maintain a neat and orderly environment. Enter customer membership information into the system, and generate and cancel memberships as needed. Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Required Skills:

Excellent customer communication skills and an outgoing attitude are a must. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment & work well under pressure. Must be willing and able to work outside in different types of weather (ex: rain, shine, hot, cold, dry, wet). Must have excellent communication skills and be willing to learn and grow. Will need to inspect the wash site before closing to ensure the property is kept to a high standard. Must be able to lift 40 lbs.

Compensation & Benefits:

As a Shift Leader, this position starts at $14 per hour with bonus potential.
