Position Summary:

The Food and Beverage Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the restaurant and restaurant team. Provide all guests with courteous, professional, and efficient service that supports the restaurant’s operating procedures, brand promise and standards.

Essential functions:

Ensure all food and beverage team members deliver the brand and provide exceptional service. Assist and support food and beverage team members. Inspect the food and beverage outlets daily for cleanliness and sanitation. Have a thorough knowledge of menus and applicable specials. Lead and manage the restaurant, room service and bar areas to ensure brand standards are adhered to. Remain in dining room during peak business hours, greet and engage with guests to ensure an enjoyable dining experience. Address guest and team member concerns, reacting quickly and professionally. Assist Assistant Director of Food and Beverage with talent acquisition. Assist with departmental training and schedule team members for training. Be able to operate the hotel computer system. Supervise the F&B team to perform opening and closing procedures with service staff. Follow the proper procedure regarding cash handling, following cash bank reconciliation and end of shift drop. Spot check guest checks to ensure proper check handling. Ensure supplies are stocked, submit requests for purchasing items in a timely fashion. Maintain a clean and efficient restaurant. Know and comply with state food handling and liquor laws. Adhere to hotel grooming and uniform standards. Perform any additional tasks requested by management.

Job Qualifications:
Education:

College Degree preferred. High school education/GED required.

Experience:

2 years prior experience in a hotel restaurant and/or free-standing restaurant.

Hours required:

Scheduled days and time vary based on hotel needs. Must be able to work weekends.

Skills & Abilities:

Must be able to pass TIPS certification/alcohol awareness training and food handler training. Knowledge and ability to operate a computer. Ability to regularly life and/or move up to 25 lbs.
