Provides oversight of RN/ LPN/CNA and secretarialstaff in the performance of daily duties. Assists in problemssolving to help alleviate clinical issues and processes on theassigned unit. Act as the clinical resource person, working as ateam with the nurse manager, staff and the provider to identify theplan of care for each patient. Supports nurse manager in developingwork plans that enable the unit to reachfinancial/quality/safety/operational targets. Provide superiorcustomer service by modeling the Brand Promise and CoreValues.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees & assures short & long termNursing Dept. staff schedules per established guidelines.
- Facilitates units in emergency medical assessment & care ofresidents including interventions, transportation & other resourcesneeded.
- Serves as a clinical resource person to staff in problemsolving, assessments, special procedures & clinical skillenhancements.
- Coordinates with the Nursing Staff resident units &admissions dept. the rapid admission of residents includingobtaining evaluations as indicated.
- Serves as adjunct to staffdevelopment coordinator in promoting planned in-services to nursingstaff as per master schedule/plan.
- Provides continuity ofresident status with hospital supervisory staff, and NursingAdministration.
- Supervises the M.D.R. directing, interacting withresidents, families and staff in providing safe, pleasant mealtimeand assuring appropriate completion of required records.
- Servesas major facilitator in QA program for Nursing Dept.
includingcompletion of assessments of designated audits & resultant actionsrequired.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate of an accreditedregistered nurse program
- Two to three years of RN experiencerequired.
- Registered in NYS as a registered nurse professional.
.Basic Life Support (BLS)PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’sdegree preferred.
- LT PAC nursing experience preferred.
- One yearof supervisory experience preferred.
