Job Description Onin Staffing is seeking an experienced Second Shift Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This position requires a highly skilled individual who can interpret specifications, ensure quality standards, and lead a team of workers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of welding, fabrication, and production processes, with the ability to motivate and oversee team members to achieve production goals efficiently.

Shift:

54 hours/pr week Monday to Thursday, 4:45 PM

• 3:15 AM Friday 2:30 PM
• 11:15 PM Saturday 12:00 PM
• 6:00

PM Pay:

$30

• $35 / hr

Key Responsibilities:

Advanced Fabrication Knowledge:

Demonstrate an advanced understanding of the fabrication and assembly of pressure vessels, with preferred knowledge of ASME codes, and familiarity with API or ISO9001 standards.

Welding Expertise:

Utilize welding knowledge, including reading weld symbols and working with MIG, TIG, and Flux Core welding techniques.

Resource Management:

Understand inputs, outputs, raw materials, waste management, quality control, costs, and techniques to optimize production and distribution.

Equipment Knowledge:

Possess intermediate to advanced understanding of mechanical devices, tools, and equipment

Interpretation & Oversight:

Ensure workers understand specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures.

Quality Control:

Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects and maintain quality standards.

Team Leadership & Hiring:

Assist in interviewing, hiring, and training new employees to ensure smooth integration into the team.

Operations Data Management:

Maintain operational data such as time, production, and cost records, and prepare supporting management reports.

Process Improvement:

Recommend and implement measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and efficiency. ensuring safe and efficient usage. Work Experience 7 to 10 years of experience in the production welding trade. 3 to 5 years of experience as a supervisor in a welding fabrication environment.
