Description
Works under the clinical supervision of the practice physician(s) and clinic supervisor/manager and is responsible for assisting the physicians in the practice. Assists in examination and treatment of patients, rooms patients and obtains information, measures vital signs (i.e.: pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, pulse oximeter, pain level, weight, and height), and records information on patients’ charts/Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Also collects and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis. Serves as a resource to new medical assistants regularly and consistently and orients new employees. Assists the clinic leadership team with orienting employees, ongoingpetencies for MAs, reviewing/revising processes, and audits of the medical assistant team. Estimated pay range for this position is $20.32 – $26.42 / hour depending on experience.
Qualifications

Degrees:

High School Diploma, Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Completion, GED or equivalent training or experience required.

Licenses & Certifications:

Licensed Practical Nurse.
Paramedic.
Certified Medical Assistant.
Emergency Medical Technician.
Certified Nursing Assistant.
Basic Life Support.
Registered Medical Assistant.

Additional Qualifications:

Must have at least one of the above required licenses/certifications (CMA, RMA, CNA, LPN, EMT, Paramedic).
BLS required for all.
For Primary Care Practices, EKG and Phlebotomy Certifications are also required for employees with the CNA license only.

CNA, LPN, EMT

license must be from Florida.
Must be a professional, detail-oriented team player with effective interpersonalmunication skills (verbal and written).
Possessespassionate demeanor, excellent customer service skills and high ethical standards.
HIPAA/OSHApliance required.
Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment.
Proficient inputer applications and typing skills.
Proficiency in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems required.
Associates Degree preferred.
Bilingual preferred.
Knowledge of Health Care regulatory guidelines and Medical Terminology required.
Leadership skills a must.
