This role is all about ensuring a welcoming space, a clean and well-presented environment, and a team that delivers hospitality with heart and consistency. Key Responsibilities Customer & Team Experience
- Set the tone for friendly, professional, and consistent service
- Coach team members on language, attitude, and presence when interacting with guests
- Monitor how orders are taken, how they’re delivered, and how customers are treated
- Lead by example during busy periods to reinforce customer-first mindset
- Proactively handle customer concerns and ensure service recovery when needed Cleanliness & Environment
- Ensure the café is clean, organized, and presentable at all times
- Enforce daily cleaning routines and hold team accountable to standards
- Maintain a tidy and functional service area, prep area, and guest seating Product Display & Store Presentation
- Guarantee that all food and drink displays are fresh, stocked, and visually appealing
- Ensure promotional materials, menus, and retail displays are updated and well-presented
- Work with ownership and staff to implement seasonal and weekly visual changes Daily Operations
- Lead opening and closing procedures, confirming all stations are ready and reset
- Track and report daily waste logs and weekly inventory counts
- Place weekly orders (e.g. milk, food supplies) and shop at Restaurant Depot
- Ensure health & safety compliance in all areas Team Communication & Development
- Run daily team huddles and weekly check-ins
- Ensure internal communication is clear, respectful, and efficient
- Train new staff on service standards and café culture
- Manage employee schedule and assist with hiring decisions Qualifications
- 3-5 years of management experience in coffee or hospitality
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Strong communicator with high emotional intelligence
- Passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Detail-oriented with high standards for cleanliness and order
- Familiar with POS systems, waste tracking, and team scheduling
- Barista experience strongly preferred
