Magnolia Gardens Full time The Dining Director will oversee all aspects of dining services within Magnolia Gardens. This leadership role requires an individual with a passion for quality dining and a commitment to enhancing residents’ experiences through exceptional food service. The Dining Director will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and promoting a positive dining atmosphere. Supervise and train all dining staff, including chefs, servers, and kitchen personnel. Foster a positive work environment, encouraging teamwork and open communication. Develop staff schedules, manage onboarding, and conduct performance evaluations. Plan and oversee menu development, ensuring offerings are diverse, nutritious, and compliant with dietary restrictions. Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and portion control. Collaborate with nutritionists and healthcare professionals to accommodate special dietary needs. Develop and manage the dining services budget, including food costs, staff wages, and other related expenses. Monitor inventory and supply levels, ensuring proper procurement and cost control. Create a warm and inviting dining atmosphere that enhances residents’ overall experience. Engage with residents to gather feedback on meal preferences and service quality. Plan and execute special dining events and themed meals to celebrate occasions and foster community. Ensure all dining services adhere to health and safety standards, including food handling, sanitation, and infection control procedures. Conduct regular inspections and evaluations of food service operations. Develop educational programs related to nutrition, cooking classes, and wellness initiatives for residents. Stay current with food trends, dietary needs, and best practices in the culinary and nutrition fields. Bachelor’s degree in Food Service Management, Culinary Arts, Nutrition, or related field preferred. Minimum of 1 years of experience in food service management, preferably in a senior living facility or healthcare environment. Strong knowledge of dietary regulations and nutrition standards. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in budgeting and financial management.
