Role Purpose StatementSeeking an outgoing candidate who thrives in a fast pacedproduction/transportation environment and enjoys managing a groupof employees, particularly drivers, that are focused on deliveringa quality product to our customers. Additionally, this candidateneeds to monitor and engage employees in all safety & performanceinitiatives. Main Accountabilities Supervisor Responsibility Ensurethat the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed anddirected and that all delivery times are being met timely Conductdaily work group meetings Schedule and control staff to meet labourproductivity and overtime targets Ensure compliance with allgovernment regulatory agencies standards (example: Food and DrugAdministration (FDA), United Stated Department of Agriculture(USDA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA),Environmental Protection Administration (EPA), Department ofTransportation (DOT), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points(HACCP), etc.) Document and follow up on all department processesin order to implement improvements Ensure on-time and accurateproduction and/or catering of all flights Monitor and ensurecompliance with all safety regulations Other duties as deemednecessary Leadership Guide, motivate and develop staff within theHuman Resources policies Make the company’s values and managementprinciples live in the department(s) Manage productivity hours andcosts in the area of responsibility; initiate and steer correctiveactions in case of deviations Participate and support companysponsored initiatives such as Quality, HACCP, Lean Manufacturing,Employee Safety and Production systems Knowledge, Skills andExperience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge required Inaddition, one to three years of related work experience requiredProblem solving and leadership skills Strong interpersonal andcommunication skills Ability to develop and lead others to obtaindesired results & achieve productivity goals Working knowledge ofOSHA, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), FDA, USDA , DOT and EPAregulations Excellent verbal, written and organizational skillsrequired along with the ability to multi-task Good knowledge ofMicrosoft Office and Windows-based computer applications LSG SkyChefs is an EEO and Affirmative Action Employer ofWomen/Minorities/Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.
