Job Description

The Raising Cane’s River Center / ASM GLOBAL is searching for a Director of Food and Beverage. The position, located in Baton Rouge, LA is responsible for a fast-paced department in a multi-venue facility. The F&B Director provides supervision and coordination of full-time, part-time, and third-party team members engaged in concessions and catering operations.

Examples of responsibilities include:

Markets Food and Beverage services to clients and establishes Food and Beverage controls. Creates Food and Beverage sales projections and budgets for facility events. Develops event work plans including scheduling and ordering and assigns appropriate duties to subordinates. Reviews food and beverage lists submitted by each facility manager to determine that sufficient items are ordered weekly. Develop facility specific Food & Beverage operational procedures utilizing SAVOR/Industry best practices. Oversees Food and Beverage operations during event to ensure client satisfaction. Analyzes information concerning facility operation such as daily food sales, patron attendance, and labor costs to prepare budget and to maintain cost control of facility operations. Assure that the Food & Beverage Department maintains a Health Department score of 90 or higher. Inspects and tastes prepared foods to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations. Participate in promotional media related events to promote the facility. Maintains an active role in local hospitality community and professional associations. Manages subordinate Catering, Concessions, Chef/Kitchen supervisors and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of any of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with ASMGLOBALS’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems. This position is issued a company paid cell phone, which requires you to answer and reply to all phone calls, text messages, and emails in a timely manner. It is also required that subordinates are given your number and are able to reach you utilizing this cell phone. Maintain safe, secure, and sanitary working conditions and leave work area in a clean and orderly fashion. Abides by all

Skills Required Maintain an effective working relationship with employees and others encountered through the course of employment. Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results in a fast-paced environment. Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines. Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur. Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form. Operate standard office equipment and personal computers, MS Windows, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, Frontline and E-Time Software. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred. Minimum of four (4) years of full-time work-related experience in the public facility food and beverage industry (stadiums, arenas, and/or or convention centers). Eight (8) to ten (10) years related experience in a supervisory or management position; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working Conditions:

Requires ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in addition to normal business hours. The position requires working in an office, warehouse, and concession stand setting in addition to the physical requirements of continuous walking, stooping lifting up to 30 lbs. and standing for extended periods of times.
