The Expediter plays a crucial role in ensuring that food orders are prepared and delivered efficiently and accurately, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to food safety guidelines. Responsibilities Coordinate the flow of food orders from the kitchen to the dining area, ensuring timely delivery. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management to facilitate smooth operations. Monitor food quality and presentation before it leaves the kitchen, ensuring it meets our standards. Assist in food preparation as needed, including cooking and handling food items. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and service areas. Support bussing duties during peak times to ensure tables are cleared promptly for new guests. Uphold all food safety regulations and practices to ensure a safe dining experience for customers. Experience Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is essential. Familiarity with kitchen operations, including cooking techniques and equipment. Strong customer service skills with the ability to work well under pressure in a busy setting.
