The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management and food service, with a passion for fine dining and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. As a Kitchen Supervisor, you will oversee kitchen operations, manage staff, and ensure that all food handling practices meet industry regulations. Duties Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and food preparation personnel, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to recipes and presentation standards. Train new kitchen employees on food handling procedures, safety protocols, and proper use of kitchen equipment. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen environment. Collaborate with the head chef to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings based on customer feedback. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and maintained. Assist in preparing meals during peak service times, demonstrating cooking techniques as needed. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, communication, and professional development among staff. Skills Strong knowledge of hospitality management principles and practices. Proficient in food handling techniques and safety regulations within the food industry. Previous experience in a hotel or fine dining restaurant setting is preferred. Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high morale among staff members. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and service. Strong communication skills for interacting with team members and addressing customer needs. Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques is a plus for establishments that serve specialty beverages. Flexibility to work various shifts as needed in a dynamic restaurant environment.
