We are a private school and residential program dedicated to supporting children with special needs, and we are currently seeking a dedicated, hard-working Food Service Worker to join our vibrant and dynamic team. As a Food Service Specialist at KidsPeace, you will play a vital role in supporting the children in our program by ensuring they receive nutritious, balanced meals that fuel their growth, learning, and development. Your efforts will directly contribute to creating a positive and welcoming environment for the children we serve.

Key Responsibilities Include:

+ Preparing and producing nutritious meals and snacks + Maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment + Managing meal service with attention to detail and efficiency + Dishwashing and keeping kitchen areas organized + Assisting children with nutrition education to encourage healthy habits + Supporting purchasing processes, data collection, and maintaining accurate reports

Qualifications:

+ Experience with commercial kitchen equipment, sanitation procedures, and large-scale cooking + Previous kitchen experience is required + High School Diploma or GED required + Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset + Ability to work flexible hours, including a Saturday shift once a month

Full-Time Hours:
