Summary We are seeking a Beverage Director to join our team at Prasino – St. Charles. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing our beverage program, ensuring that our offerings align with our commitment to quality and trend setting. Your expertise will play a vital role in enhancing our guests’ dining experience. Responsibilities Develop and manage the beverage program, including wine, beer, and cocktail selections. Supervise and train staff on beverage service standards, customer service and product knowledge. Collaborate with kitchen staff to create complementary beverage pairings for menu items. Monitor inventory levels and order supplies to maintain optimal stock. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all beverage-related operations. Engage with guests to enhance their experience through personalized beverage recommendations. Stay updated on industry trends to continuously improve the beverage offerings. Requirements Proven experience in a beverage management role within the restaurant industry. Strong supervisory skills with a focus on staff training and development. Excellent knowledge of wines, spirits, and cocktails; certification is a plus. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for guest engagement. Ability to manage inventory effectively and control costs within the beverage program. Ability to market the beverage program through promotional events Ability to curate craft cocktail lists, seasonally. Ability to curate wine list as needed. Ability to lead a bar team as well as educate all restaurant staff on wine, beer and liquor. Compensation & Benefits Health and Dental Insurance after 30 days (mostly paid by company) Salary is $80,000 per year – base.
