Job Description

Job Title:

Lead Machinist – 2nd Shift Job Description Join our team as a Lead Machinist where you will expertly operate CNC machinery with precision and safety to perform a variety of tasks. This role requires a high level of skill, attention to detail, and mechanical aptitude. You will work on the 2nd shift from 1:45 PM to 10:15 PM, Monday through Friday, ensuring adherence to all safety guidelines. Responsibilities Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, turning, grinding, and milling. Understand specifications and desired results by reading engineering drawings and other specifications. Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto machines. Conduct test runs to ensure machines produce outputs according to specifications. Monitor machines during operation and make necessary adjustments to improve results. Inspect and measure finished products to ensure process completion according to requirements. Inspect and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality. Essential Skills Proven experience as a CNC operator. Skills in operating CNC machinery and tooling. Proficiency with precision measurement tools. Ability to read and interpret mechanical and engineering documents and drawings. Strong mechanical aptitude and good math skills. Keen eye for detail and results-driven approach. Good communication abilities. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Certificate or diploma from a CNC machining school or technical college is a plus.
