JOB SUMMARY
In this role, you will help sustain Mennel’s tradition of excellence established in 1886 as well as support our food safety programs and mission to reliably deliver superior quality, uniformity, and service. Responsible for efficient delivery of dry mix from processing to packaging and unloading of raw materials. This position will sustain the Mission and Motto and Food Safety and Quality Statement of the Mennel Milling Company.
PRIMARY WORK SHIFT
Works shift as assigned and overtime as required. Employee will be assigned to a 12-hour rotating shift which includes weekends and potential holiday work but will start out at a 10 hour employee on 2nd shift
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without accommodation. Follow all food and personal safety rules and regulations in respect to GMP’s, OSHA, HACCP, the Global Food Safety Initiative, the US FDA Food Safety Modernization Act as stated in the FS&Q Statement, and sanitation guidelines as set forth by the company as listed in Corporate Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) and attend all required training sessions. Maintain the department/facility in an everyday audit ready condition. Prepare and supply premix or hand weighed ingredients for production in compliance with company standards while using acceptable Good Manufacturing Practices. Must know and communicate the status of print weigh at all times and make recommendations to insure print weighs are made correctly and are ready when needed. Lead the batching process and is responsible for insuring a constant flow of mix to the packaging lines. This includes identifying and correcting root causes of no mix time, making recommendations to improve the system’s ability to have mix, suggesting staffing changes as needed to insure mix supply and recommending scheduling improvements that will drive productivity Meet and or exceed processing standards as set by the company Provide direction to processing employees and are highly involved with the training and development of new employees Maintain and correctly document food safety paperwork Monitors all pull off and rework added to the mixers to insure compliance to the allergen control system Maintain proper levels at ingredient hopper Assist when needed in all processing areas Transfer ingredients from incoming bulk unloading vehicles into appropriate processing storage bin in compliance with company standards while using Good Manufacturing Practices Communicate with internal and external personnel to maximize productivity, facilitate timely ingredient deliveries and minimize hold product and safely operate equipment Safely perform rail switches using the track mobile Coordinator for all clean outs Maintain a clean and safe work environment and maintain the plant in an everyday audit ready state Report any unsafe conditions or actions to company supervision immediately Attend all training sessions as required. Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required; Must be able to communicate and work with other processing lead employees and other processing department employees in order to maximize productivity and minimize off grade product,
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, procedures, and plans. Ability to write, complete checklists and other basic documentation and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information or data in one-on-one and small group situations to co-workers, supervisors, and managers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Must use solid judgment when making decisions. Must have ability to quickly recognize and plan for changing work duties and events.
