SC WM Team Leader – 1st Shift
New Bern, NC / Full-time
Your responsibilities Oversee the inbound receipt and initiate quality assurance inspection of parts, components and raw materials. Provide work direction over receipt, placement into inventory, movement to stock location, and subsequent distribution to the assembly line. Work with existing logistic software to ensure timely and accurate material receipt, storage and distribution documentation. Ensure timely shipment of all outbound finished goods and returnables. Provide shipping service for all other outbound materials, UPS bulk freight, overseas shipments, etc.

  • Utilize automated systems to support inventory control and warehouse documentation.
  • Implement and maintain efficient operating procedures to ensure timely provision of materials and parts to the assembly line.
  • Utilize Automated Scanning System for Finished goods. Verification of Packing lists, Bills of Laden & Material Masters.
  • Execute the receipt, warehousing and distribution of all direct and indirect materials.
  • Ensure timely submission of claims for incoming damaged freight and scrapping of warehouse damaged parts.
  • Assist with the education and training of all personnel involved with the receipt, inspection, warehousing and distribution of all direct and indirect materials.
  • Ensure that all personnel involved in the receipt and distribution of parts and material adhere to all safety standards involving handling of material and equipment.
  • Schedule all incoming freight to ensure the smooth and efficient movement of materials within the warehouse.
  • Ensure accurate stock locations and on-line data entry.
  • Operate all forms of material handling equipment.
  • Properly maintain all department vehicles and equipment.
  • Provide forklift Training and certification for new associates as well Safety Training and forklift refresher/recertification training.
  • Oversees Daily operations of the Kanban System, Commissioning Area, Receiving or Shipping Dock.
  • Ensures timely delivery of JIT parts.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Your profile

Job Qualification Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associates Degree preferred
  • Prior Supervision experience preferred
  • Any of the above requirements/qualifications may be waived for the successful candidate.
Experience:
  • Two to three (2-3) years warehouse experience.
  • Prior supervision experience preferred

    The pay range posted for this position is based on the location noted in the posting title.

Exact compensation offered may vary based on your specific skillset and work location. If the position is bonus or incentive eligible then the payments range from 0% to 200% of target with details laid out within the plan document.
