The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing food production, ensuring food safety standards, and leading a team of kitchen staff to deliver high-quality meals. This role requires a strong understanding of food handling practices, team management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities Supervise daily kitchen operations and ensure efficient workflow. Manage food production processes to maintain quality and consistency. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health standards. Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff to enhance performance and teamwork. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop menus and special catering options. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Implement cost control measures while maintaining high standards of food service. Assist in shift management to ensure smooth transitions between teams. Experience Proven experience in food service management or culinary supervision is essential. Strong knowledge of food handling, safety practices, and dietary requirements. Experience in team management and leadership within a kitchen or restaurant setting. Familiarity with catering operations is a plus. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams. A background in restaurant management or experience within a dietary department is advantageous.
