Full Job Description Job Summary:

On top of hourly wages, employees also receive tips, which tend to average $3.00/hour. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Shift Leader to join our team. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a positive work environment. The ideal candidate has previous experience in the food industry and possesses strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of restaurant staff during assigned shifts
• Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring they adhere to company policies and procedures
• Assist with training new employees on restaurant procedures and protocols
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed
• Ensure food safety standards are met and maintained at all times
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and resolve issues in a timely manner
• Perform opening and closing duties as required
• Collaborate with management to develop strategies for improving overall restaurant performance

Experience:

• Previous experience in a similar role within the restaurant industry
• Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items
• Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
• Familiarity with restaurant operations, including front-of-house and kitchen procedures
• Excellent time management skills to ensure smooth operations during busy shifts
• Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment
