As the Floor Manager at Julep Contemporary Kitchen, you will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests while supporting our staff and maintaining high operational standards. You will oversee the daily operations of the restaurant floor, manage front-of-house staff, and ensure that our guests receive exceptional service in a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Experience:
- Greet and interact with guests to ensure satisfaction.
- Address and resolve any customer complaints or concerns promptly.
- Monitor the dining room to ensure a positive atmosphere.
Staff Management:
- Supervise, train, and mentor front-of-house staff, including servers and hosts.
- Schedule staff shifts and manage labor costs effectively.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback for improvement.
Operational Oversight:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and restaurant policies.
- Oversee the setup and cleanliness of the dining area.
- Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
Sales and Revenue:
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement sales strategies.
- Monitor sales trends and adjust operations to maximize revenue.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food service.
- Communicate effectively with the management team to address any operational issues.
Administrative Duties:
- Assist with daily financial reporting and cash handling.
- Help with marketing initiatives and promotions to enhance customer engagement.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in restaurant management or supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
- Proficient in POS systems and restaurant management software.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
