Job Description

Food & Nutrition Services Supervisor 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars Raleigh, NC 27609 What You’ll Be Doing The Food & Nutrition Services (FNS) Supervisor oversees a team of nine responsible for managing ongoing FNS cases within the Economic Services Division at the Human Services Center

  • Somerset campus.

This position provides daily supervision and administrative oversight for case managers and one administrative professional, working in close collaboration with the FNS Program Manager. This a hybrid opportunity, requiring 2 days in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

Foster a team environment built on open communication, collaboration, and excellent customer service Share comprehensive knowledge of Human Services programs and available resources Ensure accurate and timely completion of all staff work Conduct case reviews and document findings in relevant databases Communicate policy updates, procedural changes, and program impacts to staff Handle HR functions including hiring, performance evaluations, and issue resolution Participate in the management team and attend required meetings Meet deadlines across Economic Services programs including FNS, Family Medicaid, Adult Medicaid, and Work First About Our Team Wake County Health and Human Services (WCHHS) is the consolidation of programs and services that include social services, public health, job search assistance, child support, and transportation. The Basics (Required Education and Experience) Bachelor’s degree Three years of job-related experience Equivalent education and experience are accepted Please include ALL prior work experience on your application and resume. Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience) Experience in State or County Department of Health and Human Services Current or previous supervisory or team lead experience 3+ years determining eligibility for Medicaid, FNS, and/or Work First Proficient in NCFAST and electronic document systems (e.g., OnBase) How Will We Know You’re ‘The One’?
