Job Description
Restaurant and Bar Supervisor The Claridge 123 South Indiana Avenue, Atlantic City, NJ 08401 The Claridge Hotel is seeking an experienced food and beverage supervisor to join our team and assist overseeing the day-to-day operations of our outlets: The VUE Rooftop Bar and Lounge and The Twenties Italian Restaurant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of service to our guests while maintaining the financial goals of the establishment. The position is also is responsible for assisting in the managing of staff, inventory, and budgets.
Responsibilities:
Work with management to maintain a comprehensive beverage program, including cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages, that aligns with the concept and goals of each establishment. Assist in maintaining and managing inventory of all bar products, including liquor, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring proper storage and rotation. Oversee the ordering and receiving of all bar products to maintain appropriate stock levels and manage costs. Develop and implement strategies to control beverage costs and minimize waste. Train and supervise schedule staff accordingly to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction in our outlets. Assist in payroll and labor costs while maintaining a high level of service. Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to the sale and service of alcoholic beverages. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining areas, including all equipment and storage areas. Create and maintain effective relationships with vendors and suppliers. Work with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional events and activities. Ensure that all health and safety standards are met, including food safety and sanitation practices.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of all federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to the sale and service of alcoholic beverages. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Micros POS systems. Ability to manage budgets and control costs. Knowledge of wine, beer, and cocktail preparation and service. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
