With over 87 restaurants, ICHIRAN Ramen has made its American debut in October 2016 and has offered the same authentic and deliciously classic ramen in Brooklyn and Manhattan. We are currently looking for Shift Supervisors who can work full-time, start immediately and are excited to be a part of the great ICHIRAN team. Outstanding employees will have an opportunity to be promoted to a management position and receive a merit-based wage increase based on their performance assessments. •We are a no tipping establishment.•-Essential Job Duties- ・Complete all essential job functions inclusive of all regular restaurant staff responsibilities. ・Ensure high-quality food and drinks are prepared according to the company’s standardized recipes in a timely manner. ・Manage food inventory and stock by practicing FIFO (first in, first out) and properly record food loss. ・Manage supply inventory by keeping received supplies organized. ・Receive, confirm, and organize food ingredients’ delivery into the restaurant’s walk-in. ・Ensure the kitchen and common areas are clean and neat in accordance with the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene’s Safety standards. ・Comply with and enforce sanitary practices for food handling and general cleanliness. ・Conduct pre-shift meetings to check staffs’ appearance and share relevant information. ・Manage shift charts by properly recording all data regarding staffs’ attendance/breaks. ・Position team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations every shift. ・Plan and schedule staff breaks based on the day’s shift chart, labor laws, and restaurant rules. ・Conduct and document coaching meetings with staff to provide essential feedback. ・Conduct training with all staff using restaurant manuals to develop all restaurant skills. ・Report and share matters regarding all staff to co-workers and superiors on a regular basis. ・Ensure restaurant operations are always running as smooth as possible according to restaurant standards and assist in areas of the restaurant that require additional support. ・Conduct preventive maintenance and basic equipment checks and repairs. ・Operate and troubleshoot Point-of-Sale/Kiosk systems. ・Communicate to management and appropriate parties in a timely manner. ・Maintain high ethical standards in the workplace. ・Maintain good communication with subordinates, co-workers, and superiors. ・Comply with and enforce all company policies and procedures. -Job Requirements- ・At least 18 years old. ・Must be legally authorized to work for any U.S. Employer. ・Able to communicate in English. ・Strong customer service background ・At least one year experience in a similar role ・Minimum two years experience in hospitality ・Food Protection Certification (Preferred) ・Chopstick skills (Preferred) ・Able to work after midnight (12AM.) ・Able to work on weekends and holidays. ・Able to stand and work on your feet for extended periods of time. ・Able to occasionally lift/move 40lbs. -Benefits- ・Medical Health Insurance (staff who meet the company’s medical insurance eligibility terms) ・401K ・Commuter Benefits ・Employee Meal ・Holiday Incentive ・Length of Service Award ・Referral Program ・Employee Discount Due to the high volume of resumes we receive daily, we regret that we will only contact applicants who are actively being considered for an interview.
