QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Full-Time with availability for day and evening shifts. Weekend availability required. Experience in Banquet experience in similar establishment required. Culinary degree preferred. Ability to perform all basic cooking skills and have a basic understanding of cooking techniques and sanitation. A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment. Refined verbal communication skills. Creative, self-driven, and eager to learn. Minimum 1 year of leadership experience preferred. Ability to effectively train, direct and coach staff. Eager attitude towards learning and career development.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Timely execution of a broad range of quality culinary dishes in accordance with recipes and in appropriate presentation, taste, and portion size, using a repertoire of cooking methods. Able to effectively utilize food product to minimize waste. Knowledgeable of food allergens and appropriate substitutes. Adherence to safe and sanitary food storage and cooking methods. Demonstrated compliance with food safety protocols including handling and transportation of food and use and maintenance of culinary tools and equipment. Accommodate special requests when possible and remain flexible in serving the needs of guests and colleagues to create a positive guest experience. Effectively and efficiently manage staff and the day-to-day operations and services. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff members. Communicate pertinent information such as menu changes, equipment issues, service standards, and guest reservations. Monitor food production, quality and consistency on a daily basis. Ensure all checklists, requisitions and proper opening and closing duties are completed for each shift. Ensure staffing levels for all outlets are sufficient for business needs. Report to work when scheduled and in proper uniform. Maintain a consistent professional and positive attitude when communicating with guests, vendors and associates. Practice safe work habits and comply with sanitary, safety, security and emergency procedures. Any other tasks / duties as requested by management.
