Job Description The primary role of an Evening Shift Leader is to operate the shop for the second shift of the day. This mainly consists of serving customers, completing prep and kitchen tasks, fulfilling orders, and making sure that all daily activities are accomplished. An Evening Shift Leader must first have mastered all of the skills of a Shop Crew Member, and they will operate as a Shop Crew Member while the shop is open. In addition to the responsibilities of a Shop Crew Member, an Evening Shift Leader will also be tasked with: Prioritizing the shop’s workload and learning how to manage time appropriately Thinking and working independently, including making decisions that relate to daily operations Being proactive about regular maintenance, cleanliness, and routine tasks Managing gelato inventory and fulfillment for orders and events In conjunction with the gelato-makers, being responsible for daily operations and any circumstances that may arise

Crew Member:

Job Role & Skills Attend to customer orders in-person, over the phone, online, and perform local deliveries Manage the register and use the Square POS system account for sales Educate customers on the product and field product-related questions Serve gelato and learn to work with the product to make various orders Serve espresso drinks and learn required barista skills Prepare ingredients and recipes for gelato production Be responsible for the cleaning/maintenance of dishes and equipment to the required Health & Safety standards Be responsible for the cleanliness and orderliness of the shop What we’re looking for in an Evening Shift Leader Ability to work independently and be self-motivated Must be a quick learner and have a positive attitude Ability to multitask, be efficient, and be organized Friendly, energetic, and customer service-oriented Willing to be a team player and improve Ability to be a leader when necessary and operate autonomously Must be able to lift 50 lbs and be on your feet 2 years of experience in retail, customer service, or food service
