Full Job Description About Us:

Our Giving Kitchen (OGK) brings people together to prepare and distribute home-cooked meals for neighbors experiencing food insecurity. Volunteers are at the heart of our mission, and our kitchen is a space of community, dignity, and impact. This is a part-time role — ideal for someone looking for consistent, limited hours. You must be available Sundays and Wednesday mornings, with a few additional flexible hours for prep and shopping.

Job Summary:

We’re hiring a part-time Kitchen Manager to oversee kitchen operations during our volunteer cooking sessions. This person will play a key role in ensuring food is safely and efficiently prepared, while maintaining a warm and organized environment for volunteers.

Responsibilities:

Run the kitchen during volunteer sessions (man the stove, oven, and direct food prep) Shop for groceries and manage inventory Prep food and organize supplies before sessions Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly kitchen space

Requirements:

Experience in a commercial kitchen, catering, or similar environment Calm under pressure and able to multitask Strong organizational skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude Must be dependable and able to work well with people of all backgrounds Availability for Sunday sessions and some weekday hours

Schedule & Hours:

Part-time:

10-20 hours/week Schedule depends on session timing

Compensation:

Hourly pay based on experience
