- Follow established safety practices at all times — become SME on safety equipment and train others.
- Assist Supervisor in coordinating daily activities of production employees and machinery.
- Train Operators on the functions of machines and processes.
- Perform new mold and material trials.
- Back-up as a Supervisor and Operator when necessary in either B #1 or B #3.
- manage shift changes and line priorities with planner and supervisor, being available to come 15 mins before shift starts to prepare shop floor direction;
- Cooperate with warehouse on requests for raw materials to run the lines;
- Elaborate shift reports and close the shift controlling consumption of materials of the shift staying after shift change for the necessary time (estimated 30 min).
- Lead and coordinate the workload of the shift employees in the absence of the Supervisor to include work assignments that follow the production schedule.
- Troubleshoot machinery, using knowledge of equipment to meet production schedules.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Assist in training new employees and retraining of existing workforce as needed.
- Review/Audit IQMS Pallet Labels for accuracy
- Request tool repairs and machine repairs, as necessary, to ensure tooling performs standard rates and yield.
- Assist Operators with Quality decisions for out-of-spec product and placing product On-Hold
- Assign work to subordinates, trains, instructs, and assist them in overcoming problems encountered on their job.
- Provide employee performance feedback to Supervisor on employee evaluations.
- Report all safety hazards or violations to Management promptly and address immediately when required.
- Report all injuries immediately to a Supervisor and fill out incident report.
- Perform any other duties assigned by a Supervisor or Management
- Must adhere to EasyPak’s Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety Standards and ISO
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with other colleagues across all functions of the organization.
- Experience working within a production environment
- Training in SQF or other Food Safety environments a plus
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience as a Thermoforming Operator or has demonstrated prior equivalent experience and knowledge.
- A can-do positive attitude
- Prior experience in a Manufacturing environment preferred.
